Absolutely, Just let the birth team know that your choosing to keep your placenta for encapsulation
What should I tell my doctor/midwife to do with my placenta after birth?
Have your provider keep the placenta on ice in your room. We do not want it to go to pathology and get any chemicals on it. If they require it to go to pathology ask for them to remove a small piece of the placenta for the exam. The rest we can keep to encapsulate.
How do I know I am getting my Placenta?
Your request to keep the placenta in your room ensures it's your placenta.
Is my Placenta mixed with others during the process?
We encapsulate one placenta at a time so we never have the chance of mixing up placentas, they are then labeled and placed in their bag for delivery.
